American made sheet sets?
My boyfriend just recently purchased a king size bed, and we are on the hunt for a good set of sheets. As he prefers to buy American made things, we are having a heck of a time finding sheets.
His preference is Egyptian Cotton sheets, manufactured in the states (a high thread count would be good). We are willing to settle for any cotton sheet set with a decent thread count that is manufactured in America. Could anyone help point me in the right direction? Every place we've asked about American made sheet sets has laughed in our face (literally). I'm even looking for places on the internet, but a lot of the sites I've seen don't mention country of origin.
Nouna: That seems to be the case with a lot of the things we're finding. It will make you think that it's American made or something of the sorts, but you'll find out that it's not. Which is really frustrating.
Professor Grey: I saw that site as well. Those sheets, however, are 100% polyester. That makes a big difference.
When I bought sheets, there was a particular brand I bought that had a small American flag on the back of the package, and underneath that was "Made in USA". The last time I bought them, the American flag was still there but the text underneath was changed to "Made for USA" and elsewhere on the package, in small type, was "Made in Pakistan".
Ever since that incident, I've looked for American-made sheet sets, I don't think they exist anymore, and people wonder why the unemployment rate is so high.
