Pharaohs, Egypt and Plenty of History

A short time ago, I was asked by a good friend of mine what the most enchanting thing to do on a trip in Sharm. He was preparing to pop the question to his girlfriend on a future holiday break and not surprisingly planned to find the very best location.

I had to give this a bit of thought as even though I go away to Egypt regularly, it is always to go diving or chill out on the beach which even though it is a great way to spend a getaway, it was not really what he was in search of.

You can find a great many activities such as a Bedouin dinner under the stars but the longer I thought about it, there was no more than one real possibility. The desert in this area of Egypt is amazing with a blend of sand and colourful mountains. As the sun appears and starts to climb in the sky, you start to sense its warm rays and the shadows retreat all across the conforms of the surrounding mountain tops.
