Egyptian Gift shop in Hollywood and Los Angeles Area (possibly San Fernando Valley, too)?
Hi, all! My friend is so passionate about Egyptian everything. I need to give her a gift. So, where are the best gift shops around Hollywood, Los Angeles, San Fernando Valley area? I'm thinking of getting her a jewelry box, bracelet, necklace, art, or some kind of decoration. Definitely not earrings, since some people are allergic to copper backs, and oils eventhough Egypt is popular for them, I think. Please, help me out. I only have this weekend and a few more days.
Most museum stores will carry Egyptian stuff. You can try museum row in LA (Wilshire Blvd)... there is LACMA and the La Brea Tar Pits there... and many many museums and museum stores along the entire boulevard. I know LACMA carries Egyptian stuff. Also, The Getty Museum store has Egyptian stuff. You only have to pay for parking at The Getty ($7). Entrance to the museum is free. Along Wilshire Blvd. there are many museums that you can enter their store for free but have to pay to go into the museum itself. The LACMA store has Egyptian stuff as well. I also believe the museum stores located at Exposition Park have Egyptian stuff. You can google LACMA on-line and find their on-line store as well.
